Alaska, here I come....Again!

In 20 days I'll be heading back to Alaska. I was there 2 years ago and fell in love. It was a place I had dreamed of visiting most of my life and my 50th birthday made it seem all that more special.

The last time I was there was at the end of August beginning of September. It was cold, raining and beautiful. This time I'm going the week after the Solstice. 20 hours of daylight. That alone will make this trip different. I'm also hoping for different weather. Last time it was an early Fall in Denali and all the colors of autumn were out. This time I'm hoping for a greener experience. Although I know weather can change on a dime up there, I'm still hoping for Alaska in the sun.

Being that I'm going earlier this time, I'm also hoping for more wildlife sitings. Mother bears with their cubs, breaching humpbacks and orcas and calving glaciers. I don't think I'm asking too much.
